REPORT OF BLOOD DONATION CAMP
On the occasion of Shahidi Diwas (20 March 2024), commemorating the sacrifices of our nation's martyrs, a blood donation camp was organized at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University in collaboration with Shaheed-e-Aazam Bhagat Singh Sewa Trust, Bhiwani.
Camp started at 10:00 am in the presence of worthy Vice chancellor Prof. Deepti Dharmani and respected Registrar Madam Dr. Reetu Singh. The primary objective of the event was to support cancer patients by collecting blood donations from willing volunteers. The camp witnessed active participation from both students and faculty members. One hundred twenty-eight units of blood was collected in the camp. Dr. Deepti Ranjan and Dr. Neelakshi were heading the camp along with nursing officer Mr. Tarachand, and senior technical officer Pradeep Kumar. The presence of these medical professionals from the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Centre of National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar, Haryana ensured the smooth functioning and credibility of the blood donation camp. Along with these, Mr. Rajesh Dudheja, Mr. Monu Taalu (president of Shaheed-e-Aazam Bhagat Singh Sewa Trust), Mr. Naveen Jaysingh, and many other active members made this program successful. Each donation made a tangible difference, potentially saving lives and offering hope to cancer patients in need of blood transfusions.
Beyond the immediate impact of blood donation, the event served as a platform for raising awareness about cancer and the importance of regular blood donations in supporting patients undergoing treatment. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, volunteers, medical staff, and organizers whose dedicated efforts made the blood donation camp a resounding success. Special thanks to Shaheed-e-Aazam Bhagat Singh Sewa Trust, Bhiwani, and AIIMS doctors for their invaluable support and collaboration.
